frank – best man for the job

 

Southend-on-Sea appointed fwdesign to develop a pilot pedestrian wayfinding scheme that linked the train stations, council offices and high street with the beach. Southend chose our ready-to-go sign system frank, attracted by his contemporary design styling and flexible, modular configurations.

 

Our role was to develop a wayfinding strategy, giving consideration to the wider town requirements and to future proof how the system will be rolled out in the future. The system mastermap was drawn to encompass the whole town and future applications such as hand held and digital.

 

The first phase has been installed and comprises seven multi map panels and eight fingerposts. This is supported by the inclusion of the map in all town centre bus stops.
