using mapping to integrate the city

Following our appointment to develop a campus wide pedestrian wayfinding system for Newcastle University, we have developed an integrated information system across Newcastle City which incorporates the Business Improvement District (NE1), Newcastle City council's transport and tourism departments and St James Park - Newcastle United’s football ground.

Our influence across their separate organisations has helped create a common system and approach that links all parts of the city with a consistent pedestrian information system, using a common graphic language whilst retaining the respective identities of separate areas. The city information system has recently been rolled out across the entire city centre, supported with an update of the city's hand-held map.
